National Gypsum Introduces Fire & Sound Assembly Selector Tool
New interactive tool enhances project planning and estimating.
National Gypsum announced the launch of the Fire & Sound Assembly Selector, an innovative interactive tool designed to streamline planning and estimating for construction projects. The platform allows users to quickly identify fire-and-sound rated assemblies, saving valuable time and enhancing project efficiency.
Key features of the Fire & Sound Assembly Selector include:
Centralized Database: The Fire & Sound Assembly Selector serves as a one-stop shop for fire-rated systems, featuring nearly 350 UL fire designs from National Gypsum, including versatile assemblies like V438 and W419.
User-Friendly Platform: Designed for seamless filtering and browsing, this easy-to-navigate platform is enriched with visuals to enhance the user experience and provides streamlined access to related sound tests.
BIM Models and Acoustical Tests: Users can access downloadable acoustical test reports and Revit files to support construction documentation and support adherence to code requirements.
Simplified Assembly Instructions: Detailed assembly instructions, complete with fastener spacing, are available on a single PDF sheet, simplifying understanding and collaboration during the building process.
Developed using assemblies designed and tested by the 1-800-NATIONAL Construction Services team, National Gypsum’s Fire & Sound Assembly Selector was created to improve the way architects and contractors approach project planning and execution.
“In developing the new tool, our objective was to ensure users could quickly access the precise technical information required for their projects,” said Sam Halverson, Construction Services Manager for National Gypsum. “The Fire & Sound Assembly Selector efficiently filters through nearly 350 assemblies, providing detailed graphic descriptions, fire and sound test results, Revit files, and more for each assembly.”
