Huntsman Building Solutions Launches Digital Daily Work Record System for U.S. Spray Foam Contractors

Easy-to-use platform with QR code access makes recording jobsite details simple, quick and storable.

Huntsman Building Solutions has just unveiled a tool to make things easier for spray foam contractors. The newly released Daily Work Record system allows contractors to digitally record valuable information about their projects and jobsites to monitor equipment material usage, enhance quality control, support safe and consistent operations and, ultimately, to log and save historical jobsite data that may be recalled in the future.

“U.S.-based spray foam contractors are in need of a user-friendly system for logging key jobsite information and details,” says Daniel Kinard, Director Tech Services of Huntsman Building Solutions. “What we are introducing is ultimately an upgrade to the mostly printable daily work record forms being supplied to spray foam contractors by manufacturers today. This is a digital platform, which is incredibly fast, easy to use on the go.”

As of late June, all new Huntsman Building Solutions resin drums sold within the United States will feature a 3X4 sticker labeled “Scan for Daily Work Record”. The sticker is located at the top of the drum and features a QR Code. Whether using iPhone or Android, installers can scan the QR Code directly from the jobsite using the cameras on their phones. This simple process gives them direct access to an online form, allowing the installer to record key jobsite information into a digital Daily Work Record. The system may also be easily accessed via a tablet or desktop computer and is free to use.

“In our industry, there are quite a few Spanish-speaking installers, thus the digital Daily Work Record is provided in both English and Spanish so that everybody can take advantage of it,” says Kinard.

The online Daily Work Record form allows the contractor to record the following items, amongst others, into their job’s digital log:

·      Company Name

·      Installer Name(s)

·      Jobsite Address

·      Type of Project

·      Description of Project

·      Lot Numbers for Iso and for Resin Used

·      Specific Spray Foam Material Used

·      Density of Foam

·      Number of Gallons of Product Used

·      Intumescent Coating Used

·      Environmental and Material Conditions

All Huntsman Building Solutions products are loaded into the system and may be easily selected by the installer filling out the form.

Once completed, the digital Daily Work Record can be emailed as a PDF file  directly to the contractor’s office administrator or supervisor to be safely stored, then later accessed easily should the need ever arise.

“Every so often the details of a job need to be reviewed long after spray foam installation,” adds Kinard. “The driver behind this new Daily Work Record system is two-fold – to make it simple and easy for installers to record project details at the time of installation, and to make it incredibly easy for contractors to retrieve that information if they ever need to.”
